Oscar-Worthy Upper Body!

Do you know what day it is? HUMP DAY!

I don’t know about you, but I look forward awards season as much for the glamor as I do for the competition.

Last weekends Oscars had me all kinds of jealous of all the toned upper bodies being shown off in gorgeous dresses..

I don’t have a gown to strut it in, but bikini season is on its way-and that’s good enough reason to get toned! […isn’t it everyone’s??]

oscararmsI performed the majority of these exercises with 15-20 lb dumbbells. If you are not able to lift heavy weights, work with what you can!

Always make sure to warm up your body. If you plan on lifting weights, start with a lighter manageable weight to wake up the muscle and practice your form.

Unfortunately it was way too cold to walk the dog today, so I caught up on some laundry and helped Derrick meal prep


I’m sure this is a familiar sight for most of you!

Derrick works in the oilfield and leaves home for weeks at a time. Before he has to go we spend a couple of days getting him ready, preparing meals and snacks so he he is well fed and healthy while away!


Tonight’s haul consisted of steaks, homemade black bean soup, crock pot chicken, salsa, and homemade Chex-Mix!
