With Derrick home for 2 straight weeks, we have kept ourselves very busy catching up on things that have been neglected. In true fashion, I’ve bitten off more than I can chew with projects at home and at work, and I’m paying the price! I’m behind on posting, with my study schedule, and my business website – I’m working long hours, and generally worn out. I find when things get hectic like this I need to step back, reset, and get back to the basics.
Meaning more blogging and fitness focus, and less spontaneous evening art projects that last a week (or never get finished, thanks Pinterest).
That being said, on to the workout! Do you have a sturdy set of stairs at home, or nearby? Are you ready to challenge yourself and work up a sweat? Then keep reading!
If you follow me on Instagram, you know I knocked out an awesome home stair workout after work this week. I’m talking face sweating, barely make it to the top, complete exhaustion of a workout. When I wrote it out I truely didn’t think it would be all that difficult. Boy was I wrong!
If it’s as hot as it is here, make sure to drink plenty of water during this workout! Note that you don’t need a huge stair case to make this work, I use the rickety set below, and it works just fine!
[The dogs get so confused when I start running stairs at home..following me thinking I’m going somewhere only for all of us to trip over each other when I turn around, Derrick finds this hilarious. The good part? We don’t have to walk them when they’ve run 100 stairs!]
I use a free app called IntervalTimer for interval workouts. It’s super easy to use and nice and loud at transition seconds.
This is going to be my new go-to workout for days too hot/cold/rainy to get ouside!
